The Uptown Crossing Business Improvement District (BID) 16 is seeking an artist or team of artists to develop a permanent public artwork for the pocket park on West North Avenue and 56th Street. The BID has dedicated approximately $10,000 of its budget to go toward the pocket park art project. The primary objective of the project is to enhance the park, creating an inviting community space for people to gather while showcasing the Uptown Crossing Business Improvement District and surrounding areas.

Examples of previous art installations on Uptown Crossing projects include a Millennium Art Project at The French Immersion School (51st and West North Avenue) and the addition of a public art piece for the tip of the West Triangle.

Applications are due March 29, 2019 and more information can be found here (click link).
