Provide Feedback on the West Side Area Plan Update

DCD Planning hosted an in-person meeting on  December 5, 2024 at Wellpoint Care Network and a virtual meeting on January 8, 2025. The exhibits from the in-person meeting and a video recording of the presentation from the virtual meeting are on the project website. In addition to meeting materials, there are two online feedback tools—an interactive map and a brief survey to help identify community priorities and opportunities for improvement. Check them out now at engage.milwaukee.gov/westside. These feedback tools will close at the end of February and the results will be posted on the project website.

Engage with an interactive map and answer survey questions.

Feedback received will help shape the Plan Update. Originally completed in 2009, the West Side Area Plan will be updated to reflect today’s conditions and to provide a roadmap for a bright future that supports the area's attractive neighborhoods, unique commercial areas, and many regional destinations. This updated Plan will become the City’s official guide for land use and development decisions in the area. The Plan’s recommendations also help prioritize improvements to transportation networks, parks, and other community facilities. As part of the planning process, the Plan will include a market study to understand the economic trends affecting the area.

Visit the project website for additional information and to get updates on future events.
